Microgaming Launches New Poker Tournaments


Microgaming’s massively popular Poker Network will undergo a few changes and upgrades to better serve players. Three new tournaments are being added and players will only be able to play on the network in Euros – both changes being made in an effort to enhance playability.

Microgaming will be adding Survivor Tournaments as well as daily Breakfast and Bedtime Bounty tournaments to their roster of great events for players.

The Survivor tournaments will be fast and furious and are sure to keep you on the edge of your seats! In the Survivor tournaments players go head-to-head AND against a clock and, at the end of each tournament level, a select percentage of players with the lowest chip total get ‘voted off the island’. To keep track of your progress, there will be a status indicator which shows how close you are to elimination as well as the target goal to avoid getting the boot. Survive till the end and you’ll be sharing a piece of the winnings!

Microgaming is also introducing their new Breakfast and Bedtime Bounty tournaments. In this type of tournament, half the players buy-in goes towards the prize pool while the other cash goes towards their own bounty. Each player that is eliminated loses their bounty to the player who wins the hand.

The final upgrade to Microgaming’s poker network is the switch to using only Euros. The move was made to ensure the best playability and entertainment for the players and will be applied to all network Guaranteed Tournaments, satellites, freerolls, regular and multi-table tournaments. The decision was also made to allow for more of their software’s features to be used.
