Online gambling group Bet365 has launched a new technology called Diffusion 2.0 in an effort to help streamline their fixed odds, financial betting services. Diffusion, a Push Technology product, will enhance the company’s product portfolio and provide organization and management making the user experience more streamlined, with no additional browser content or specialized client implementation needed.

Push technology generally refers to a style of internet-based communication in which requests are initiated from the publisher or central server. This style of communication is opposite to Pull technology whereby the request is sent by the receiver or client.

Bet365 will be using the new Diffusion 2.0 software to streamline odds to customers over the Internet and will essentially provide up-to-date, real-time odds to users of Bet365’s site as it can effectively manage the volatility of real-time financial information.

Martin Davies, Chief Technology Officer for Bet365 said that acquiring a solution that would support the launch of their fixed odds services was essential to the success of the company. The real-time communication infrastructure provided by Diffusion 2.0 will now give players of Bet365 instant access to the latest pricing. Davies also noted that Bet365 had looked at a variety of options but decided on Push Technology’s specialized solutions because they provided the best performance and is a leader in the industry.

Bet365 is considered a world leader in online gambling and betting. They offer a casino, poker, games, bingo and sports betting site as well as a mobile offering. The company boasts over 2.8 million customers spread across 140 countries and are licensed and regulated by the UK Gambling Commission.
